Managing Flood Risk |
Three Themes For Flood Risk Management |
TE2100 Plan has three stages with different objective for implementation: • “Maintaining confidence and planning together” (2010 to 2034)--estimated cost 1.5 bn; • “Renewal and reshaping the riverside” (2035 to 2049)--estimated cost 1.8 bn; • “Preparing for, and moving into the 22nd Century” (from 2050)--estimated cost 2.7-3.7 bn. A monitoring programme is recommended to ensure sea level rising and flood risk is monitored and the plan is reviewed and updated every 10 years or if climate changes significantly. |
